Baseball Recap: Shoemaker Takes a Loss

Shoemaker suffered their biggest loss since March 8th on Tuesday. They lost 8-2 to the Harker Heights Knights. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

Damian Montanez-Figueroa made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That home run was his first of the season.

Shoemaker dropped their record down to 10-11-2 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Harker Heights, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-6-1.

Coincidentally, Shoemaker and Harker Heights will both be playing Temple the next time they take the field. The Knights will head out to face the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wolves will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th.
