Basketball Recap: Dugger Union Comes Up Short

Dugger Union played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the White River Valley Wolverines 79-38. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 601st, while the Wolverines are ranked 167th).

Despite the loss, Dugger Union still got an impressive performance from Sage Stahl, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Stahl has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 14 times she's played.

Dugger Union's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for White River Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
