Baseball Recap: MacArthur Takes a Loss

Sam Houston hit MacArthur with a four-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cardinals fell just short of the Texans by a score of 5-4. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Texans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

MacArthur got a good showing from Eddie Perez, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, MacArthur saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Salas, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Salas has hit this season.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-2. As for Sam Houston, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4.

MacArthur has already played their next game, a 9-2 win against Bowie on the 28th. As for Sam Houston, they will head out to square off against Cooper at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
