Baseball Recap: Northshore Panthers vs. Acadiana Rams
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northshore). They put the hurt on the Acadiana Rams with a sharp 15-5 victory on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Jacob Neely looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Northshore got a massive performance out of Eli Long, who scored two runs while going 4-for-5. Those runs were Long's first of the season. Another player making a difference was David Cantrelle, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
