Boone Grove is a perfect 10-0 against Morgan Township since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Morgan Township will be up against a hot Boone Grove team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Wolves never let Griffith get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won four matches by nine runs or more so far this season.
Javy Carrera made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Carrera was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Morgan Township came into Saturday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 16-9 margin over Michigan City on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cherokees needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Caleb Ksenak looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off three hits. He is becoming a predictor of Morgan Township's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 1-9-1 when he doesn't).

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Boone Grove has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Morgan Township struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Boone Grove beat Morgan Township 9-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Cherokees have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
