Volleyball Recap: Marengo Takes a Loss

Marengo was the 2-1 winner over Winnebago when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Marengo fell just short of Winnebago by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Marengo sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 19-25, 25-19.

Marengo now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Winnebago, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Marengo will venture away from home to square off against Plano at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Winnebago has already played their next match (against Annawan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
