Basketball Recap: Clay County Takes a Loss

Clay County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Braxton County Eagles 70-40. The Panthers were down 57-29 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Leading Braxton County to victory were Logan Baldwin and George Seller. Baldwin almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards, while Seller dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brady Toler, who posted seven points and three steals.

Clay County's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Braxton County, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Clay County has already played their next matchup (against Webster County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Braxton County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-50 defeat against Nicholas County on the 29th.
