It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Elkhorn North ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They secured an 81-76 W over the Gretna East Griffins. The win was just business as usual for Elkhorn North, who after six games remain undefeated this season.

Gretna East's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Drayke Brown, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 23 points and five assists, and Talan Hovie, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 20 points and six assists. Those five assists gave Brown a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Hawley, who posted 12 points.

Elkhorn North pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Gretna East, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Elkhorn North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-40 defeat against Norris on the 30th. As for Gretna East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-50 win against Bennington on the 30th.
