Baseball Recap: Red Bud Takes a Loss

Red Bud came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-2 to the Breese Central Cougars. The Musketeers haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Red Bud saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cadin Voss, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Red Bud's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Breese Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Bud will square off against Alton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Breese Central, they will challenge North Clay/Clay City at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
