Volleyball Game Preview: The Covenant School Eagles vs. Highland Hawks

The Covenant School Eagles will take on the Highland Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Covenant School is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last ten games.

On Thursday, The Covenant School got the win against Christchurch School by a conclusive 3-0.

The Covenant School not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Christchurch School between 15 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-16.

If Wakefield School wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Highland, they should've done a better job of containing Olivia Dart. The Hawks blew past the Fighting Owls 3-0 on Monday thanks in part to Dart, who had 21 assists and seven aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Highland was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-11, 25-13.

The Covenant School's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Highland, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Everything went The Covenant School's way against Highland in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, as The Covenant School made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
