Basketball Game Preview: Thornton Wildcats vs. Warren Township Blue Devils

Having just played yesterday, the Thornton Wildcats will jump right back in to play the Warren Township Blue Devils at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Thornton will be strutting in after a win while Warren Township will be coming in after a defeat.

On Saturday, Thornton didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Payton College Prep, but they still walked away with a 41-36 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Warren Township was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 91-85 to Milwaukee Academy of Science. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 33rd in Illinois, while Milwaukee Academy of Science are ranked first in Wisconsin).

Warren Township's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Thornton, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.
