If St. Paul was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Western Reserve on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Flyers fell just short of the Mohawk Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Flyers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Emerson Gurney had a dynamite game For Mohawk., getting 30 digs and six aces. Gurney is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Mohawk, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

St. Paul and Mohawk should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Flyers (ranked 213th) will meet Mapleton (ranked 682nd) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mohawk will face off against Seneca East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (185 vs. 472).
