Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Geraldi Navel and Isabella Padilla Lead Foothill to Victory + How To Watch

After losing to Florin the last time they met, Foothill decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mustangs walked away with a 3-1 win over the Panthers on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Mustangs have beaten the Panthers on their court since October 4, 2022.

The victory didn't come easy: Florin scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20, 20-25, 25-18.

Leading Foothill to victory were Isabella Padilla and Geraldi Navel. Padilla had 39 digs and four assists, while Navel had ten digs and nine aces. That's the most aces Navel has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good server: Foothill was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 25 aces. They served 14 more aces than Florin's also-impressive total of 11.

Foothill's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Florin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Foothill will challenge rival Armijo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Florin is set to take on their familiar foe Fairfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
