Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Neshoba Central walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the South Panola Tigers 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Rockets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Neshoba Central pushed their record up to 19-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for South Panola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-10.
