Baseball Recap: George West Takes a Loss

George West suffered their closest defeat since March 19, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Odem Owls by a score of 6-4. The Longhorns haven't had much luck with the Owls recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

George West saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Little, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

George West's loss dropped their record down to 14-14-2. As for Odem, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. George West will venture away from home to take on Mathis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Odem, they will head out to square off against West Oso at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Odem's pitchers better be ready for this one: West Oso has averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
