Hawley has gone 4-0 against Olney recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hawley Bearcats will welcome the Olney Cubs at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Hawley's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Olney has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hawley faced off against Anson on Friday. Hawley strolled past Anson with points to spare, taking the game 26-7. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Tigers are ranked 609th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Allyn Barker was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Those 110 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Keagan Ables, who threw for 183 yards and a touchdown.

Hawley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 213 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Hawley's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. In that department, Cayden Moss was the leader with three sacks.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Olney). They claimed a resounding 35-6 victory over Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 20-0.

AJ Solano and Camron McComack were among the main playmakers for Olney as the former gained 130 total yards and three touchdowns and the latter rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. McComack's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 123 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Olney didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of McComack and Tucker Cortinez.

Hawley's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Olney, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
