Basketball Recap: Huss Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory + How To Watch

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Huss ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 69-58 win over the Palisades Pumas. The 69-point effort marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Jaleel Smith produced another solid performance almost dropping a double-double with 32 points and nine rebounds. The matchup was his tenth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaiyir 'Zii' Phillips, who shot 54% from the field en route to 20 points along with five assists and three steals.

Palisades lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Joshua Harris, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 22 points. Micah VanFossen was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to 19 boards and five assists.

The victory (which was Huss' fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. As for Palisades, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Huss will look to defend their home court on Friday against Harding University at 7:30 p.m. The Huskies will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 63 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Palisades, they will head out on the road to face off against Clover at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pumas will need to watch out since the Blue Eagles have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
