Stone Memorial proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Cumberland County Jets 3-2. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jets, too.

Stone Memorial wouldn't go down easily and took Cumberland County into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-21, 25-12, 20-25, 15-8.

Despite the loss, Cumberland County had strong showings from Emma Howard, who had eight digs and one assist, and Antigone Merancin, who had eight digs.

Stone Memorial's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. As for Cumberland County, they moved to 9-2 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.
