Swain County had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.2 goals) and they went ahead and made it ten on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cherokee Braves a 9-0 shutout. Considering Swain County have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Cherokee with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mya Burrows-Kurr (6), Karena Cline (2), and Audrey Monteith.

Swain County pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those six contests. As for Cherokee, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Coincidentally, Swain County and Cherokee will both be playing Tri-County the next time they take the pitch. The Maroon Devils will host the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Braves will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
