Basketball Recap: Reagan County Comes Up Short

Reagan County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Alpine Bucks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Owls of the 35-26 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2018.

Alpine was led to victory by Andynne Ramirez and Gyllian Morrissey. Ramirez posted 15 points and seven assists, while Morrissey had ten points and five steals.

Reagan County's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Alpine, they moved to 8-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Reagan County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-29 victory against San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy on the 28th. As for Alpine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 51-40 win against McKinney Christian Academy on the 28th.
