After flying high against Broaddus on Tuesday, Zavalla came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 31-1 to Non Varsity Opponent on Friday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Zavalla saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garret D.Ykes, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Zavalla's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Zavalla will venture away from home to face off against Chester at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against Elida on the 20th.
