Recap: Jay Royals vs. Wewahitchka Gators
The Jay Royals fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 35-22 victory over Wewahitchka on Friday. This was payback for Jay, who suffered a 16-10 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Jay got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brock Stout out in front who rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns. Grayson Shehan also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Jay's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Wewahitchka, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jay will take on Blacksher at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blacksher is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Wewahitchka, they will stay at home for another week and welcome Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Hopefully Franklin County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up four last Friday.
