Fremont barely beat Manistee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Packers blew past the Mariners 24-9 on Thursday. The Packers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Deagan Klimek, who went 5-for-6 with three stolen bases, five runs, and three RBI. Those five hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jack Vandenberg, who went 4-for-5 with three runs and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Fremont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Fremont and bumps their season record up to 13-15. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Manistee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.
