Baseball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson suffered their biggest loss since February 22nd on Tuesday. They came up short against the Hughes Springs Mustangs, falling 13-1. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Jefferson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Smith, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-1. As for Hughes Springs, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-3.

While Jefferson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
