Softball Recap: 29 Straight Road Wins for Beecher

Beecher proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 14) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Peotone Blue Devils a 2-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won six in a row.

Peotone's batters probably weren't too happy with Taylor Norkus, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 15 Ks (she gave up a single walk). Norkus has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ava Olson, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Beecher's win was their 29th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-1. As for Peotone, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-11.
