Basketball Preview: Our Lady of the Elms Panthers vs. St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish

The Our Lady of the Elms Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Our Lady of the Elms focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday.

On Saturday, Our Lady of the Elms earned a 33-21 win over the Patriots.

Our Lady of the Elms' success was spearheaded by the efforts of Pilar Hampton, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and five steals, and Faith Farris, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. Hampton is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 14 games she's played.

St. Vincent-St. Mary has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The match between them and Western Reserve Academy wasn't particularly close, with St. Vincent-St. Mary falling 65-46. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as St. Vincent-St. Mary came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Pioneers are ranked 59th).
