Softball Recap: Sandia Matadors vs. St. Pius X Sartans
Sandia barely beat St. Pius X the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Sandia was the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over St. Pius X on Saturday. The Matadors haven't had any issues with the Sartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Liliana Villanueva made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and one double while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
