Baseball Recap: Great Oak Comes Up Short

If Great Oak was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Murrieta Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolfpack came up short against the Vista Murrieta Broncos on Monday, falling 12-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolfpack of the 12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Great Oak saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Pink, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Great Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Vista Murrieta, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5-1.

While Great Oak had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
