Basketball Recap: Coral Reef Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Coral Reef got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They were the clear victor by a 65-40 margin over the South Dade Buccaneers on Saturday. That looming 65-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Barracudas yet this season.

Coral Reef got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Angel Santos out in front who posted 14 points. Santos is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Gianmarco Altare was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Coral Reef's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8. As for South Dade, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
