Basketball Recap: Callaway Comes Up Short

Callaway lost against Westside on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Callaway Cavaliers took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westside Seminoles.

Leading Westside to victory were Christian Little and Brandon Hill. Little went 5 for 10 on his way to 15 points along with six assists and five boards, while Hill posted six points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. That's the most assists Little has posted since back in December of 2023.

Callaway's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Westside, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Callaway will venture away from home to face off against Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Westside, they will welcome Rutland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westside is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
