Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Somerset). Their defense stepped up to hand the Poteet Aggies an 8-0 shutout on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won five games in a row.

Somerset's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those seven contests. As for Poteet, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Coincidentally, Somerset and Poteet will both be playing Floresville the next time they take the pitch. Poteet will host Floresville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Somerset will host them at 7:00 p.m. on March 7th.
