Basketball Game Preview: Farmington Tigers vs. Mount Royal Academy Knights

The Farmington Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Mount Royal Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Farmington will be strutting in after a win while Mount Royal Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Farmington beat Newmarket 52-46.

Meanwhile, Mount Royal Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Mascenic Regional, falling 65-41.

Farmington has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Mount Royal Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Everything came up roses for Farmington against Mount Royal Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured an 87-24 victory. Does Farmington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mount Royal Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
