Volleyball Recap: Chipley Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chipley can now relate to. They fell just short of the Branford Buccaneers by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Chipley sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 11-25, 25-14, 19-25, 15-9.

Alaina Finch paced Chipley's offense, picking up 23 kills. Finch got some help from Cheyenne Risinger and her 41 assists. Sarayah Hogan and Jazlynn Risinger kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Chipley's loss dropped their record down to 24-7. As for Branford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Chipley nor Branford have any future games scheduled.
