Recap: Woodsboro Eagles vs. Odem Owls
The Woodsboro Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Odem by a score of 54-52. Woodsboro has struggled against Odem recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Woodsboro still got an impressive performance from Jordan Zena, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Amarian Zambezi, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Woodsboro has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season. As for Odem, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13.
Woodsboro will take on Port Aransas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Port Aransas' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Woodsboro has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road. Odem will take on Mathis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mathis focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Tuesday.
