Softball Recap: Pinconning Comes Up Short

If Pinconning was riding high fresh off their 14-8 takedown of Clare on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans came up short against the Pioneers on Friday, falling 13-2. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pioneers earlier this season, when they won 14-8.

Pinconning saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kailee Rugenstein, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Pinconning's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-1. As for Clare, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Pinconning will head out on the road to face off against Bullock Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Clare, they will challenge Beaverton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
