Football Recap: D'Evelyn Takes a Loss

D'Evelyn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 48-7 defeat at the hands of the Forge Christian Fury. The Jaguars were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Kevyn Feldon threw for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Adam Nguyen was his top target, picking up 112 receiving yards. On the ground, Noah Allen rushed for 47 yards.

Euli Tafoya went supernova for Forge Christian, rushing for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also catching a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Tafoya has posted since back in September of 2023. Sullivan Strange was another key player, throwing for 141 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes.

D'Evelyn's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-3. As for Forge Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

D'Evelyn will be playing in front of their home fans against University at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Forge Christian, they will welcome Kent Denver at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
