Softball Game Preview: MacDonald Condor vs. Monta Vista Matadors

The MacDonald Condor will take on the Monta Vista Matadors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for MacDonald and 24 for Monta Vista dating back to last season.

Cupertino hit MacDonald with a five-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Condor lost 10-1 to the Pioneers. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Condor couldn't push the score so high this time.

MacDonald saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyleena Stone, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Monta Vista fell victim to Saratoga and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 13-0.

MacDonald's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Monta Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.

MacDonald took their win against Monta Vista in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 17-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Condor since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
