Manheim Central beats Governor Mifflin for their sixth straight win

The Manheim Central Barons had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.4 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They really took it to Governor Mifflin for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-0 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Manheim Central, who have now won seven matches by 21 points or more so far this season.

Michael Torres III had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 257 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Aaron Enterline, who picked up 105 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Manheim Central's victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Lebanon and 2-5 Smyrna (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 34.7% over those games). As for Governor Mifflin, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Manheim Central will head out on the road to face off against Exeter Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Governor Mifflin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Warwick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Warwick is ranked 182nd, while Governor Mifflin is ranked 198th).
