Recap: Houlka Wildcats vs. Smithville Seminoles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Pontotoc, the Houlka Wildcats were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They took down Smithville 72-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Elijah Kilpatrick went supernova for Houlka, scoring 20 points along with four steals. Neal Moore was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals and two blocks.
Houlka is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-14 record this season. As for Smithville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.
Houlka will head out on the road to square off against West Union at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in West Union's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Smithville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
