Springfield is 8-2 against Strath Haven since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cougars will challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Springfield has 12 straight wins, Strath Haven has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Friday, Springfield strolled past Marple Newtown with points to spare, taking the game 62-43. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cougars' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Fightin' Tigers are ranked 305th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Strath Haven took on Penncrest on Friday. The Panthers took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

Strath Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Springfield, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.

Springfield beat Strath Haven 52-40 in their previous meeting back in December of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
