Swett waltzed into their matchup on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Richmond Oilers 20-7. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Oilers, too.
Rebekah Millan made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Millan was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Sanaia Tuuu was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Sophia Vieira also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Swett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Swett's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games.
