Soccer Recap: Cary Takes a Loss

Cary fell victim to Sanderson and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 4-0 to the Sanderson Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Imps can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Spartans are ranked 28th).

Cary's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Sanderson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Cary will welcome Panther Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be Panther Creek's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Sanderson, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against East Wake on the 13th.
