Basketball Recap: Bertha-Hewitt Takes a Loss

After flying high against Verndale last Tuesday, Bertha-Hewitt came back down to earth. The matchup between the Bertha-Hewitt Bears and the New York Mills Eagles didn't end well, with the Bertha-Hewitt Bears falling 60-42. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-39 back in January.

Bertha-Hewitt's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for New York Mills, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bertha-Hewitt will take on St. John's Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for New York Mills, they will square off against Swanville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
