Baseball Recap: East Valley Falls to Liberty in First Game of Season

East Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 21-12 to the Liberty Lancers on Thursday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

East Valley got a massive performance out of Colby Bergman, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kyler Goll, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

East Valley will square off against Pullman at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The game will give East Valley their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Liberty, they will head out on the road to face off against Reardan at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will also be Liberty's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
