Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Fort Payne

Fort Payne entered their tilt with Pisgah on Monday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Pisgah Eagles with a sharp 10-4 win. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 14-9 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Olivia Lee was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Lee was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Harleigh Morgan was a standout: she scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ava McGinnis, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4.

Fort Payne kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
