Football Recap: Bishop Foley Comes Up Short

Bishop Foley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 14-6 to the University Liggett Knights. The Ventures lost against the Knights in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 52-0 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Bishop Foley lost, don't look at Robert Gjonaj. Despite the final result, he rushed for 121 yards and one score.

Bishop Foley's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for University Liggett, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Bishop Foley and University Liggett will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Ventures are set to square off against their familiar foe Our Lady of the Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, University Liggett will challenge rival Cranbrook Kingswood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
