Basketball Recap: Ennis Comes Up Short

Ennis lost against Three Forks back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Ennis Mustangs were beaten by the Three Forks Wolves 70-34. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Wolves are ranked 16th).

Ennis' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Three Forks, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Ennis will square off against West Yellowstone at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Three Forks, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Manhattan Christian at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th.
