With a playoff win on the line, Banks County rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Washington County Golden Hawks by a score of 57-44. The Leopards are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 20 straight.

Several Golden Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emmya Gamble, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 boards gave Gamble a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Kitchens, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

Banks County's victory bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Washington County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-9 record this season.

Banks County will square off against Rabun County on Tuesday. Washington County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
