Basketball Recap: Dayvon Hinson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Marion P. Thomas over Governor Livingston

Marion P. Thomas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Governor Livingston Highlanders, falling 84-62.

Marion P. Thomas lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dayvon Hinson, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Hinson a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Vincent Loomis, who posted 15 points and seven boards.

Marion P. Thomas' loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Governor Livingston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9.

Marion P. Thomas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-66 victory against Roselle on the 31st. Governor Livingston has also already played their next game (against New Providence), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
