Holy Cross waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They skirted past the Seymour Wildcats 49-47. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 66-53 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Seymour lost, don't look at Skylar Barton. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards. That's the most points Barton has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jenna Pollastro, who earned seven points and five rebounds.

Holy Cross' win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. As for Seymour, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-5.

Holy Cross does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seymour, they will face off against Kennedy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Seymour is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
